e-alliance ::

Apply for Membership

Joining takes just a few simple steps

Step 1
Review the Guiding Principles for Action and the Statutes of the Alliance as an independent association in Switzerland. As further background on the Alliance, you can review the Covenant for Action, the founding document for the EAA.

Step 2
Determine how your church or church-related organization would like to contribute to and engage in the Alliance.

All churches and organizations that choose to be members of the Alliance should:

  • engage actively in the work of the Alliance through advocacy efforts
  • contribute financially to the work of the Alliance

The annual membership fee is 900 CHF per annum. If your church or church-related organization is from the Global South and has limited financial resources, the annual membership fee may be reduced to 450 CHF. Churches or organizations with greater resources are kindly requested to make a higher contribution towards core funding and for specific projects.

In addition to paying a membership fee or contribution per year, there are other ways you and your organization can engage in and contribute to the Alliance. Members may contribute research and analysis on issues, provide input for resource material for the Alliance, place interns with the Alliance and nominate people to serve on the EAA board of directors, campaign strategy groups, and working groups. A list of ideas is included in the application form.

Step 3
Download the application form, fill out the required fields and attach the documents that are requested: latest annual report and names of local and international partners with whom you collaborate. Members from the Global South applying for a 450 CHF membership fee per annum are requested to enclose/attach their latest annual report.

Step 4
If possible, please scan and email us the membership application of your church or church-related organizations. Please send an original copy to:

Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance

P.O. Box 2100

Step 5
Membership applications will be processed by the coordinating office and submitted to the members of the Board of Directors of the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance for their review. A response will be communicated to your church or church-related organization within a month.

Your church or church-related organization may be contacted for further information. If you have any questions or want further information, please do not hesitate to email  us.

We look forward to receiving your application to join the Alliance.
